The performance “#5 - All Those Beautiful Boys“ concentrates on the visible surface and the vision of a utopian surgical art, that is able to erase cultural and social marks from our faces within seconds. The artists analyze how European racist concepts have dissolved into contemporary concepts of beauty using their bodies as a sign for the relation between seeing and desiring including optical illusions.

WHITE ON WHITE (DE/SE) is a german-swedish artistic duo Iggy Malmborg (Malmö) und Johannes Schmit (Berlin). Their aim is to investigate, criticize, affirm the identificatory process between WHITE audiences and WHITE performers on stage. The series meets the question of appropriation/colonization of the stranger with a radically discrete gesture: White on White devotes itself to Whiteness.
