What effects does the withdrawal of the US army have on Mannheim? Can the new urban potentials reflect the dreams of the citizens? To answer these and more questions raumlaborberlin offers space for a discussion forum in a unique architectural setting: a wooden movable tank is placed in the city centre and becomes a meeting point for all citizens to exchange their ideas and dreams.
Besides the discussion forum at the Collini Social Club with Café Kinzig, there will be also a dance event and a collective action on the last day.

22.9. Dance under the gun barrel
"cold war / hot dogs" invites you to a swing tea dance at the tank on Alter Messplatz for everybody between 2 and 92. With DJ Spy, coffee, drinks and cake for free and an introduction to swing by Xenia Linke (Swingdance Heidelberg).

28.9. Call for dinner
"cold war / hot dogs" ends with a collective dinner. Everybody brings food for himself and another guest. Tables and chairs will be placed at the Schillerplatz. Drinks for free.
Please notice the limited number of participants (35) and mail your registration till 25th september to ticket [at] zeitraumexit.de.

Since 1999 RAUMLABORBERLIN (DE) is a network of 8 trained architects, who come together in a collaborative work structure. They work at the intersection of architecture, city planning, art and urban intervention. They address in their work city and urban renewal as a process and are attracted to difficult urban locations. Places torn between different systems, time periods or planning ideologies, that can not adapt. Places that are abandoned, left over or in transition that contains some relevance for the processes of urban transformations.
